Virtual Release Party & Giveaway!

I know, I know, my book has been trickling out for weeks now and it’s already been read and reviewed by a lot of you. But today it’s official: The Christian Mama’s Guide to Having a Baby is out.

And we’re going to celebrate!

I’d still love it if any (all!) of you could make it to our RELEASE PARTY tonight at Max’s Wine Dive. Drop by between 7:30 and 9:30 for food, wine, giveaways and more!

If you can’t make it, I still want you to be part of the fun. So, I’m giving away PRIZES to my virtual friends, too! Here’s what you can win:

1. ONE commenter will win a $20 gift card to ZULILY, my favorite online store for moms and kids. Warning: Zulily is TROUBLE. Once you’ve seen the supercute and cool kid stuff they have, it’s hard to resist.

2. ONE commenter will win a signed copy of my book.

Just click below and leave me a comment answering these questions:

1) Have you seen my book anywhere (online or in stores)? Where?

2) What book are you reading right now?

3) What did you to do celebrate YOUR release day?

Contest closes Tuesday, March 7th!

  1. Congratulations on your release day! I have been thinking about you as March 1 was approaching! I know you must be so excited!

I saw your book on Amazon, and might I say, your reviews are great! At the time I was there, you had all five-star reviews! I would love to win a signed copy!

I have a sister-in-law who's due on June 28, so I'm going to recommend your book to her. In the meantime, enjoy your party (and your new dress) tonight! And congrats again!

  2. Way to go! I knew you had it in you. I've seen your book online…but also now am the proud owner of my very own copy which is my "Current Read" Enjoy your day!

  3. What a fabulous day! Congratulations! I'm reading "South of Broad" by Pat Conroy, "Under the Dome," by Stephen King, and "Louisa May Alcott," a biography by Susan Cheever. I can't read just one book–I have to read a bunch all at once. :) Celebrating with you!

  4. YAY!!! So exciting!
I have not been to any real bookstores lately– isn't that awful? There is neither an indy or a chain bookstore in my town. That really is awful.

Right now I'm reading Sonya Sones "What my mother doesn't know"

    I haven't had a release… yet. But I hope to one day!

  5. that should be neither/nor. I get excited with the comments sometimes and don't proof them!

  6. Yeah! I'm so excited!!! Headed over to tweet about this!!

Right now I'm reading A Grace Disguised — have about 10 books on my nightstand as usual!

  7. Happy Release Day Erin! I hope your party tonight is a huge success. Your book looks like such a fun one…I almost wish I was pregnant again just so I could read it in the midst of having a baby. :)

And the dress you chose for tonight is beautiful!

  8. How exciting Erin!! Congratulations on the book, looks like a fun topic right up my alley :) The first I saw of your book was on Facebook and I hoped right over to see what you were talking about!

The book I'm reading right now, actually two. "Open Air Poultry houses" and "Gaia's Garden – A Guide to Home-Scale Permaculture." And no "release day" for me yet, but one day I am going to write a book :) Congrats on the huge accomplishment!

  9. Erin, Congratulations the first (and more to come???) BOOK!!!
I work with Nanette, and that's where I saw the copy of your book. I haven't been to a book store in a while. (Shame on me)
I have two married daughters who are planning to have a child in the not so far away future, so I'm going to get them each a copy of your book!
    I'm so excited for you!!!
    Susan Lawrence in Oregon

  10. Erin – way to go! I am Lori and also work with Nanette and so excited for your first book. I am not going to have anymore – but will be definitely buying it and sending it with Nanette so I can have my own autographed copy! I have never written a book but I think celebrating like you are is perfect!

    Congratulations again – Lori Henry

  11. Congrats! I'm STILL reading Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. But it's a good one!

  12. Congratulations! I'm reading Mike Duran's The Resurrection. Don't put me in your contest–other people would benefit more from your book, since I'm (hopefully) past the having kids stage. Um. God has a quirky sense of humor. Probably shouldn't have said that.

  13. HUGE congrats on the release of your novel!!! If I do happen to win, and I would LOVE to I'll read it and pass it on to my prego relatives they are in abundance these days!!! I'd love a copy!!

  14. Congratulations, Erin! Happy Release Day.

(Please don't enter me in the drawing. I'm an Empty Nester and would rather see the prizes go to a new mom.)

  15. Happy Release Day!

You don't have to enter me because I am not a mom, nor am I expecting. I am just a huge fan of your blog :)

  16. Congrats!!!

I've only seen it online, but I've seen those great reviews also!

I'm reading "We Need to Talk About Kevin" by Lionel Shriver (not a light read, so avoid until pregnancy hormones are a thing of the past).

And release day? I wish… But one day I dream of buying my favorite coffee, then going and standing in the local bookstore for an hour just staring at it on the shelf. Shameless :)

  17. Woohoo!!! Happy release day! :)

    1) I've seen it online and love the cover!
    2) I've got a bunch of books in progress. The last one I touched (15 min's ago) was A Wife After God's Own Heart. Learned how to not be a drippy faucet. :)
    3) No release day yet for me, but I can dream. I think I'd go shopping and beg husband to take me out for fondue.

  18. Happy Release Day!

I saw your book at and Barnes and Noble online but I'll start hunting it down in bookstores too because I need a second copy.

I'm reading Mission of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson, The Book Thief, and just finished Flight to Heaven.
