Baby Name HELP!

So, there’s a slight chance that we haven’t come up with a baby name for this baby yet.  And, seeing as how he’s due in less than TWO weeks, it’s probably about time that we start figuring one out.

I’ve gotten lots of good suggestions on Facebook and Twitter— some of which we’re considering (read:  Daddy Mac), but we’re still not 100% convinced on anything.

SO, I’m enlisting your help.  What would YOU name our little boy??

  1. For our first son, we picked “Dillon” because “Dylan” meant something about the sea. We like the ocean, but went with an alternate spelling. We named our second son “Blake”, not because of Blake Carrington from Dynasty (like the baby name book suggested) but because it seemed to go well with Dillon. We also tried to pick names for our boys that would fit their adult life as well, regardless of whether they became athletes, artists or senators. I’m not sure if we succeeded, but that’s how we narrowed it down. Their middle names are family names.
Congratulations! Two weeks. I know you’re ready.

  2. Daddy Mac…sweeeet. Some names we liked were Ethan, Caleb, Luke, Gabe (Gabriel) and Logan :) I still like Sam Adams though…the guys in the group would totally love that-right??

  3. Wish I could help but we name our boys off-the-wall names (Ketch and Rook…see what I mean!). Once upon a time though, when I embraced more normal names, here is what I loved:

    Brady
Jake Ryan (hubby forbade that since he was the resident hotty in 16 Candles)
    Camden (wait, that’s semi-trendy)
    Zack
    Caden
    Garrett
    Luke
Malachi (tends to be a mouthful but it’s biblical…good middle name)
    Mason
    Logan
    Ben
    Trent
    Chad
    Troy
    Gabriel
    &
    Nathan

You’ve probably already heard most of these numerous times but good luck! Picking a name is such pressure!

    Jenny

  4. I thought of 2 more…

    Hayden
    Owen

    Ok, I’m done…:)

  5. I have a friend who just had a baby, they considered Ethan for a first name…their last name is Allen:-) Toby Mac has a nice ring…
Ok, Ok, I know I am NOT helping:-)
    Seriously though:
    Paul
    Joseph
    James
    David
    Samuel
    John
    Benjamin
    Michael
    Mark
    Ashley
    Hope these help! ml

  6. We chose traditional names that are spelled normally and won’t cause people who hear their names being said to ask, “Is that a boy or a girl.”

  7. We like Braden Grant or Braden Austin or Jackson or Avery

  8. I like the names:

Grant Austin (that’s our front runner for this kid)
    Josiah
    Jude
    Landon
    Jamison

(I know obsession with J names. also dated several j names in my day)
