Welcome to The Christian Mama’s Guide Pin-Tastic Summer! If you’re just joining us, click over to our intro post to find out what we’re doing and to see what other crafts, activities and projects we’ve done.
This week, we’re having math week. Scroll down to learn how to make Symmetrical Butterflies and then click here to find out what other awesome musical activities we’ve done this week.
What you need:
- construction paper (any 3-6 colors)
- glue stick
What to do:
- Fold construction paper in half and cut out a half butterfly (I know, it’s hard, but let your kids help you)
- Open up
- Cut out small shapes–squares, circles, stars, hearts, lines– out of construction paper
- Have your kids glue the shapes onto the butterflies symmetrically so both sides match exactly.
Make symmetrical butterflies and teach your kids math skills in the process. #educationalactivities http://wp.me/p33YCp-tY Click to Tweet
